Build on LapViz: telemetry library and API
The timing logic of the LapViz apps is published as open source .NET packages. Use it to read and write sessions, compute laps and sectors from the GPS, or push live timing from your own application.
LapViz.Telemetry
The domain model and the timing of the LapViz apps, for .NET Standard 2.0, .NET 8 and .NET 9.
- Sessions, laps, sectors, drivers, devices and telemetry channels
- GPS line crossings, predictive delta, theoretical and rolling best laps
- The same results as the LapViz devices, checked with shared test vectors
- MIT license
LapViz.LiveTiming
A SignalR client to publish and follow live timing sessions.
- Used by LapViz Stopwatch and LapViz Laptimer
- dotnet add package LapViz.LiveTiming
Open format and API
Your data stays readable by other tools.
- LapViz file format (.lvz): a ZIP with a JSON manifest and the samples in columns
- REST API of lapviz.com with an OpenAPI description

Also in the LapViz suite
- LapViz devices Turn an M5Stack board into a lap timer: track magnets or 10 Hz GPS, predictive delta, laps and sectors broadcast over Bluetooth to the LapViz apps.
- LapViz Studio Analyse the files of your data logger or lap timer in the browser, also offline: lap overlay, delta, channels, track map, math channels and on-board video.
