Frequently asked questions
Is LapViz only for karting?
No. LapViz works for karts, cars and motorbikes, on any circuit: the analysis, the apps and the leaderboards are the same, and the categories of the leaderboards keep each kind of vehicle apart.
Which laptimer do I need?
The one you have: AiM, Alfano, Unipro, RaceBox, VBO, the phone apps... Without a laptimer, a GoPro with GPS or your phone is enough to start.
Who can see my sessions?
You choose for each session: public, with its lap times in the leaderboards; lap times only, without the telemetry; shared with chosen people; or private.
Does it work on a Mac?
Yes. LapViz runs in the browser, on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS, with nothing to install.
My circuit is missing, what can I do?
Submit it from the circuits page: once it is added, it gets its page and its leaderboards, and the laps are calculated from the GPS.
Is it free?
Yes. Importing, analysing, comparing and sharing your sessions is free.
