Frequently asked questions
How do I analyse Harry's LapTimer data on a PC?
Export the session in VBO from Harry's LapTimer, then drop the file in LapViz Studio, in the browser of a PC or a Mac: free, nothing to install.
Which export should I choose in Harry's LapTimer?
VBO, the format of Racelogic: LapViz reads its GPS and its other channels. A GPX file is read too, with the position, the speed and the altitude.
Are the laps of Harry's LapTimer kept?
No. LapViz calculates the laps from the GPS track on the circuits it knows, so that every laptimer is timed the same way on the leaderboards.
Why is my circuit not found?
Without laps in the file, LapViz calculates them on the circuits it knows only. A missing circuit can be submitted from the circuits page.
Can I compare myself with a friend who uses another laptimer?
Yes. The Studio overlays the laps of files of different brands, and the leaderboards of the circuits gather every laptimer.
Is it free?
Yes. The Studio and the 3D replay are free and work without an account; the LapViz account is free too.
