Is the phone GPS precise enough for lap timing?

For a first idea, yes. For times to the hundredth, use a 10 Hz GPS: a LapViz device or an external Bluetooth GPS receiver.

Do I need an account?

No. The app times your laps without an account. With a free LapViz account, your sessions are saved in the cloud and can be analysed on lapviz.com.

Which circuits are supported?

The karting and racing circuits of LapViz are detected automatically. A missing circuit can be submitted from the circuits page.
